Lisa Rinna Explains Why She Did The Depends Commercial

Lisa Rinna is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Lisa gives a little insight into her career choices, and tells all about her haunted house. Lisa writes:

"So, we’re two weeks in and I’m loving my new role as a Housewife! I have to admit, I am completely humbled and so incredibly grateful for all of the support and all-around amazingness you’ve shown me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and everywhere else. I love reading everything you send my way and just know that I love each and every one of you right back!

Ok, that’s enough of the mushy stuff! Time to discuss this week’s episode and the fact that I ate Frank Stallone. Well, I ate a salad named after him, but I get too much of a kick out of saying that I ate him for lunch and that, quite frankly (Ha! See what I did there?), he was delicious. Is it a coincidence that I have not seen my friend Frank since I ate him? Kinda gives Maneater a new meaning, huh?

During my incredibly fun lunch meeting with my agent, we talked a lot about sponsorships and endorsements. Of course, as a part of this conversation, my Depends commercial came up as we discussed my career and any future endorsements. I’ve had many people ask me why I would do the Depends commercial, and the answer is really quite simple:

By doing this commercial, the contract stated that $250,000 would go to a charity that is very special to me: Dress For Success. Dress For Success empowers disadvantaged women to reach their professional potential by providing them with both the attire and tools they need for success in the workplace and in life. I mean, how could I say no to the opportunity to provide some much needed funds to such an amazing and woman-centric charity?! Besides, the fact that 50 million people deal with incontinence, and I am honored to represent those that still want to look and feel  glamorous. And c’mon ladies, don’t tell me you can’t relate… We’ve all peed a little at some point in our lives after sneezing, am I right?

Bottom line is this--charity and the empowerment of women are two very powerful things to me, and I was, and still am, very proud to support both by doing this commercial.

As if eating Frank Stallone and speaking of adult diapers wasn’t enough for one blog post, I’m also going to enlighten you further on my haunted house. When Amelia and Bella were talking to me about the ghostly noises they heard, I played it off as if I wasn’t believing them. Fact is, I can’t prove it, but I believe there is indeed a female ghost named Karen that lives with us. She died in the house back in 1980, and I know she absolutely loves the girls and loves to be around them. Karen had a 3-year-old daughter when she passed away, so I feel like she really presented herself to us when the girls were just babies. She’s a good ghost. A protective spirit that I’m grateful to share my home and family with. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s just a feeling I have.

So, there you have it! Frank Stallone, Depends and ghost stories all in one episode and recapped in one tidy little blog post. If there’s one thing I can be counted on this week, I’d say it’s a load of randomness wrapped in laughter (and an adult diaper)!"
