Camille Grammer is thankful for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because the show gave her a platform. Last year, Camille Grammar was diagnosed with Stage 2 Endometrial Cancer.
Now in remission, the star is using her tough year to fuel a new fire: she's determined to do all she can to help bring awareness to women's cancers.
"This is my passion right now. I am a third generation to battle cancer," she tells RumorFix. "I watched my grandmother suffer. I was there when my mom had chemo and I’ve gone through it myself.”
All three women in Camille's family suffered from gynecological cancers which is what led Camille to her new focus in life: The Foundation for Women's Cancer. Last month, she set up a team called Camille's Crusaders for a 5K charity race. They raised the second highest amount of money for the cause. "I’m proud of the girls who came and joined me. It was emotional, uplifting and inspiring," she says.
Camille is also grateful for her time on RHOBH, most of all for giving her a platform. "Because of Housewives, I have a platform and a voice to raise awareness and why not? I had a really difficult year and I’m turning lemons into lemonade," she declares.
