Andy Cohen's New Book Is A Bestseller!

MAZEL! Andy Cohen's new book, The Andy Cohen Diaries, has hit multiple bestseller lists this week, including the nation's prestigious New York Times chart for combined Print and E-Book Non-Fiction. It ranked #3 for its first week on sale, coming in right behind George W. Bush's memoir 41, which was also released this week and hit #1.

Andy's memoir, documenting a year-in-the-life of the talk show host and based on the similarly-themed The Andy Warhol Diaries, also hit #1 on Apple's iBooks bestseller list beating out books by the likes of Stephen King, John Grisham and Gillian Flynn. It's #1 and in the top ten in several categories on Amazon as well.

The new accolades make Andy a bestseller twice over. His first book, Most Talkative, also hit the lists upon its release in 2012.

"My new book is my reality show, in print," Andy shared when he first announced the memoir. "It's the embodiment of everyone's secret desire to eavesdrop on the table next to them at a Manhattan restaurant, or to see what happens when we cut to commercial on my show. It's my own take on Andy Warhol's Diaries, which I loved, and I hope it will wind up being a pop culture time capsule in the same way his is."

And though he drops a staggering number of celebrity names, the book manages to be dishy and respectful at the same time—in the grand tradition of everything Andy Cohen. "This book is not a mean-spirited book, because I'm not a mean-spirited person," he has said. "It's fun! A lot of people have asked me if I'd do a reality show, and I think this book is the closest I'll get to doing one."
