In the series premiere of TV One’s Hollywood Divas, viewers find the Paula Jai Parker living with her husband and son in a cramped rented room.
“I’ve never been this poor,” cried Paula, who said she was blackballed in Hollywood after breaking up with a film executive to date a guy in production, her future husband.
“I just never expected it to be so harsh. I never expected to be shut out,” Paula explains. “I never imagined it was going to be this hard.”
From her pain, Paula has an idea of how to get her career back on track, and she’s calling on fellow Black female actors, Golden Brooks, Countess Vaughn, Elise Neal and Lisa Wu to help get things back on track via S2S Magazine.
