Former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Star Dana Wilkey Begs Judge To Return Her $25K Bond!

Looks like former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dana Wilkey may have to trade in her $25,000 sunglasses, Wilkey was arrested and surrendered to the F.B.I. on June 19 due to fraud charges, she posted a $25,000 bond to an assistant United States attorney— but now she her money back!

Radar Online is reporting the following: In a September 14 letter to a United States District Court judge, lawyers for the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills guest star — who was indicted on wire fraud charges for entering a “fraudulent marketing contract”— argue that their client has “met the…spirit of her release conditions,” and therefore deserves to have the large sum returned.

“Of course, she traveled from Florida to California to appear [in court] for this case,” the recent Florida transplant’s attorneys write in the court documents. “Additionally, in the Southern District of Florida, she has regularly reported as required to a U.S. Probation Officer (who fulfills the Pretrial Services function in Florida)….She surrendered her passport, thereby removing any concerns about flight.”

In addition, the lawyers claim that the former reality TV party planner— who once boasted about owning a pair of $25,000 sunglasses—desperately needs the funds to care for her four-year-old son, John Cayden, and elderly grandmother.

“While working, Dana Wilkey faces financial costs beyond her own defense,” the attorneys argue. “She is a single mother of a young child and she is also responsible for the costs of caring for a 97-year-old grandmother. The continued posting of property is not reasonably necessary. It is a burden.”

The troubled Wilkey faces 20 years in prison for each wire and conspiracy count, and is next expected to appear in court on September 24.
