Kelly Killoren Bensimon Dishes About Her Cameo Appearance On Bravo's 'The Singles Project' And The Downsides Of Dating In NYC!

The Bravo-lebrity universe is getting smaller and smaller. Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Real Housewives of New York City alumnus, also happens to be a patient of Dr. Lee Gause! This week, Kelly made an cameo appearance on The Singles Project and Bravo chatted with the socialite-philanthropist on the downsides of dating in the Big Apple and whether unlucky-in-love Lee has a serious shot at finding The One.

How do you know Dr. Lee Gause?
He’s an amazing dentist in NYC. I’ve known him for a few years.

What do you think about his bachelor ways?
I think it’s tough to be single today. No one wants to commit and have a family.

What do you think Dr. Lee needs in a woman?
I think he needs a woman who has her own identity and her own money. I can’t see him with someone who isn’t educated and well mannered. Have you ever tried to set him up? I haven’t, but my wheels were turning about who would be good for him.

Did you really bite a dentist once?
Yes, I bit my orthodontist who had his fingers holding my cheek open while he was on the phone. He’s the man responsible for my nice teeth, so I can’t complain.

Is that the only person you’ve bitten?
I’ve been bitten by love before, haven’t you?

Was it different being on The Singles Project as opposed to being on the Housewives?
It was a blast being on The Singles Project. These guys aren’t fighting for TV time, they are fighting for LOVE. I learned so much from being on RHONY and how to navigate NYC women. I became really good friends with LuAnn, and the show gave me a name so I can support FOODBANK4NYC and my children on my own. The Singles Project is love in the Big Apple—what’s not to love?

Have you been watching The Singles Project? What do you think?
I haven’t been watching it, but I will now. Dr. Lee Gause draws a sexxxxy crowd of people.

Would you do something like The Singles Project to find love? What do you think is the hardest thing about dating in New York?
I’ve never showed any relationships on TV. As a mom, I can’t kiss in a hot tub, or talk about dating on TV. I don’t like discussing my personal life, I find it disrespectful. I’ve had a hard enough time as it is finding someone special, I can’t imagine going through that on TV. He’ll find me :) Fingers Crossed. The hardest thing about dating in NYC is that there are so many beautiful and talented people in NY. There are too many choices, and there are too many ways to meet and cheat. Men are either fishing or hunting. Fisherman catch and release, hunters go after you and keep you. Look for hunters. I hope Dr. Lee Gause finds his true love.

The Singles Project airs Tuesday nights at 10/9c on Bravo!
