Hi! Welcome to another edition of Claude’s Corner and today I’m going to dish about my exclusive interview with the one and only Glamourous Monique. Monique Allen also know as Glamorous Monique hails from Fullerton, California but don’t let the size or looks fool you, with a BA in Criminal Justice she’s retired from the California Department of Corrections as a Correctional Case Records Analyst with her bubbly full personality and all round charm she's an iconic staple in California and the longest serving Trans Government employee in the USA. She will be making her debut on the season finale of E!’s Botched this Sunday, I got to catch up with her and her experience on the show and more, read the full interview below!
JC: Darling, it's good to have you. How are you?
GM: I’m good hunny, thanks for having me.
JC: As everyone knows you were cast on E!’s Botched, how’d that come about?
GM: Well an agent reached out, contacted me and the rest is history.
JC: Anything you regret from you’re time on the show?
GM: No, no regrets at all. I loved it and I had a great time.
JC: What made you get into plastic surgery?
GM: I loved the idea of being able to create my own creation on myself.
JC: What procedures did you have done?
GM: I had a face lift, neck lift and my pixie ears fixed.
JC: How long were you in surgery for?
GM: I was in surgery for seven hours. Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow are such perfectionist…
JC: How was you're experience working with Dr. Duborw and Dr. Nassif and were you satisfied with their work?
GM: They were great! I loved them, very sweet, and their work is outstanding!
JC: If you were cast in any of the Real Housewives series, which city would you pick and why?
GM: That’s easy either RHOC or RHOBH because they’re the closest to me. And I’m a lazy housewife.
JC: What would you’re tagline be?
GM: “Built as my own creation I’m Young Hip and Snappy”
JC: We know you do music, can you tell us a bit about that?
GM: Yes. I have a few songs out, “38 Triple F” “Punch My Kitty” “The Peoples Tranny”"Sugar Daddy" and “My Daddy Loves My Plastic"
JC: Possible album in the pipeline?
GM: Maybe. (Laughs)
JC: Some call you the Amanda Lepore of the west coast, how do you feel about that?
GM: I don’t mind it. I love Amanda. We used to work together back in New York at The Limelight back in the 90’s, I had a lot of fun with her and I love her very much.
JC: Any last words for your fans?
GM: That E! has been very gracious and generous to the Trans community and I'm very thankful to tell my story.
