Hello Everyone,

In light of the events, on and off screen, in the past few weeks, I am issuing this statement which formalises my position.

As a mother, wife, friend, housewife and lover of life, I am taking a step back from the negative and turbulent aspects of social media.

While filming, we put ourselves out there in every aspect imaginable, without knowing what would, could or should come of the end result. Recently, the outcry on social media has portrayed every housewife in a way that is not always flattering or even accurate.

I am asking that viewers of the show, friends of mine and my family and anyone interested in the Housewives franchise, please join me in an effort to halt any and all negative, subversive and hurtful commentary.

We collectively filmed the show months ago and our lives have progressed since. What is being portrayed is without question, a small portion of the end result.

The current media sensation, that has evolved (often daily) regarding myself, my family and my fellow cast members along with their loved ones has not always been an accurate portrayal.

I am speaking for myself and my family when I ask that my choices in posts on social media, decisions in removing any and all negative/subversive commentary and excluding individuals in posts be respected and honored.

Let us all love, laugh, celebrate and smile. I cannot control the outcome of the show or the end result of this media frenzy.

I can speak for no one but myself and my family. I want the best for all of us and would hope the same from all the other cast members. This has been a journey and we all should be able to smile over a frown

I hope you will continue to share the laughs, see the humor and respect my request to disregard any press that I have not interviewed for or statements directly attributed to/or verified by me.

I want my social media pages to be fun, exciting and shining examples of who I am as an individual and a friend to so many, not a battlefield for trivial events that have been portrayed.

I will not be engaging in any negative commentary. Lydia Schiavello social media pages and my TeamLydiaGlobal pages are here for my friends, my family, participants and anyone who share my views, beliefs and love of life.

Thank You and Please Keep Smiling, Never Stop Laughing. And always Remember - We are all Beautiful!

Let's get rid of those Black Hearts,

Lots of love,

Lydia
