Mary Zilba is a recording artist, a mother of 3 and a Real Housewife of Vancouver. Mary also has added business woman under her belt as she's about to release her latest project which is a beauty line called, Buff Beauty! Mary recently blogged about her new beauty line on Slice's website to give us all the tea! Mary writes:
"As a cast member of The Real Housewives of Vancouver there is no doubt that things can be very trying at times, but as much as the battles are sometimes hard to bear, there have been many rewards.
Far away from the cat fights and drama, the show has given me the opportunity to refresh my music career, work in TV again, and has given me a wonderful vehicle to pursue many other artistic dreams. After Season 1, I embarked on one of the most wonderful projects that I’ve ever done: I created my own beauty line, called Buff Beauty.
This basic five-piece collection of cosmetics was inspired by women like myself, who are always on the go and have little time to spare, yet want to look beautiful, understated, feminine and fresh. The line is designed for everyone, from the mom who is rushing out the door in the morning and wants to look fresh, but not look as if she’s been primping all morning, to the student who wants a natural, clean look.
I have always been a fan of neutral makeup colours. I believe that a pop of colour is great now and then, but frosting is meant to be on a cake! My collection is made up of all-natural colours that provide a sheer dewy look like you’ve just had a perfect night’s sleep.
Over the years, I have had a lot of women ask me about my skin care and makeup choices and I always tell them I keep it simple. In my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes women make (especially women over 40) is applying too much makeup — powder in particular. I believe it makes a person’s skin look much older.
I am so excited to announce that Buff Beauty will be debuting this April 12, 2013 on The Shopping Channel! To the women I’ve met over the past few years who have inspired me and this line…thank you."
