Paris And Nicky Hilton Reveal Why They Didn’t Want Their Mom Kathy Hilton To Join RHOBH!

Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton recently revealed how they really felt about their mom, Kathy Hilton, joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

April 12's episode of the This Is Paris podcast, Paris addressed her mom's "friend of" role on the upcoming eleventh season of the Bravo hit reality series. The Simple Life star shared with co-host Hunter March and guest Bethenny Frankel, that her mother wasn't necessarily honest about her RHOBH gig.

"My mom, when we first found out about it, she was like, 'No, I'm not doing it,'" Paris said, according to E! News. "She was just like, not telling us the truth basically."

"My sister and I, we just love our mom so much. We're so close. And that show is just, like what you're saying, there's just a lot of drama," she continued. "There's a lot of unnecessary arguments, you know, drama is what gets ratings and what sells. So, we just don't really want our mom being involved in that drama."

The sisters believe their mother only joined the Bravo hit reality series out of boredom due to the ongoing pandemic.

"Nicky and I were talking about it like, if there was not a pandemic happening right now and she wasn't so bored at home, there's no way what she would've said yes to this."

Paris added, "I don't think she'll get involved in the drama—hopefully."

In October 2020, Bravo officially confirmed that Hilton along with Crystal Kung Minkoff was joining the series; Kung Minkoff as a full-time cast member while Hilton will appear as the official “friend” of Season 11.

Kathy has made several guest appearances in seasons past since her sisters Kyle and Kim Richards have been part of the series since the show's debut in 2010. Meanwhile, Crystal made history as she became the first Asian-American Housewife on the Bravo hit reality series.

Kung Minkoff and Hilton will be joined by returning cast members Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, and Sutton Stracke.
