Meghan King Edmonds Shares Health Update On Her Son Hart After He Was Diagnosed With ‘Irreversible Brain Damage’

Meghan King Edmonds is sharing an update on her son Hart's health after revealing that he was diagnosed with "irreversible brain damage" caused by minor Periventricular Leukomalacia. The former Real Housewives of Orange County star is seeking treatment for Hart's condition.

"Starting back at the chiropractor @drmackenzierae to make sure all of his nerves are opened up so the new neuropathways he is trying to create actually have the best chance of 'sticking,'" Meghan shared in her recent Instagram Story, along with video of Hart being treated by the chiropractor.

"The parts of Hart's brain that would control certain things (like some leg movement or some eating skills) are dead. But the brain is beautiful and incredible and has the ability to create 'workarounds.'"

According to Bravo's The Daily Dish, Meghan and the chiropractor can be heard discussing Hart's eating habits in the video. "Chiropractic will help make sure these new pathways are given the best chance to open up," Meghan wrote in her Instagram Story.

Earlier his month, the former Bravo reality stat took to her personal blog, in a post, titled “My Hart,” where the mother-of-three revealed that her 13-month-old has “minor Periventricular Leukomalacia on both sides of his brain” and is “at risk for being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.”

Meghan also shares that the doctor “explained” to her that her son is also “at risk for being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and will be monitored.”
