Kandi Burruss Talks About Expanding Her Family And Says It Was A ‘Blessing’ Winning ASCAP Golden Note Award!

Kandi Burruss is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's Season 11 premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kandi Burruss talks about expanding her family and the recent success of her R&B girl group Xscape.

Bravotv.com: How is your relationship with the other Xscape members today?
Kandi Burruss: My group members and I are getting along great now. This past year has been a wonderful year for us to reconnect and mend our relationships, all while accomplishing more than we ever thought was possible after such a long hiatus.

Bravotv.com: Were you surprised Riley was so against you having another baby?
KB: No. Riley was against us getting pregnant with Ace, and now she loves him with all her heart. So I’m not listening to her...she’s going to love our next baby just as much as she loves Ace.

Bravotv.com: What did you think when Riley quoted NeNe?
Riley says that all the time. So I just laughed like I always do.

Bravotv.com: How did it feel to win the Golden Note Award? 
KB: It was an awesome feeling. So many great things have been happening for my group. The ASCAP Golden Note Award is a very big deal, and I was elated to receive it. It’s shocking that 25 years after we started in this business we are still being recognized. That’s a blessing!
