Janet Roach has revealed that the upcoming fifth season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne will premiere in mid-October in Australia.
In the comment section of Roach's Instagram post, fans of the series asked the original cast member when the series will be airing.
A user asked, “CANT WAIT ANY LONGER I NEED IT NOWWWWW”
Janet replied, “Mid October xx”
Another asked, “When is it on TV”
To which Roach replied, “They think in the middle of October xx”
Another fan asked, “WHEN????”
Janet wrote, “About mid October the word on the street is xx.”
If you recall, Gamble Breaux, Gina Liano, Lydia Schiavello, and Janet Roach were originally scheduled to return along with new cast members Anjali Rao, Cherry Dipietrantonio, and Kyla Kirkpatrick when Foxtel announced the Season 5 lineup in February 2020.
However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the series was put on hold for over a year. The NEW cast for Season 5 was revealed on April 15, 2021.
The new lineup consists of Breaux, Roach, Rao, Dipietrantonio, and Kirkpatrick. They were joined by new cast member Simone Elliott and in a shocking twist, original cast member Jackie Gillies returned to the series after originally quitting last year. In May 2021, Gillies confirmed that she's pregnant as she and her husband Ben are expecting twins after undergoing IVF.
Season five began filming in May 2021and concluded in late July 2021.
