Is Luann de Lesseps Joining ‘Dancing With The Stars’ For Season 30?!

According to a new report, Dancing with the Stars producers wants Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps to be part of the show's lineup for the upcoming Season 30.

“Producers are working overtime to get the perfect cast for the forthcoming season of DWTS,” a source told OK! Magazine.

The insider reveals that some of the people at the “top of producers' wish list” are country singer LeAnn Rimes, Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps and TV legend Fran Drescher.

The sources also dishes that previously, controversial talk show host Meghan McCain "was on the list, but her departure from The View, which is the same network, has made that more complicated.”

Last year, Luan revealed that she wanted to compete on DWTS. “I've always wanted to do Dancing with the Stars,” she told PEOPLE at that time. “I'm such a fan of the show and it would be an honor to do it. I know it wouldn't be easy, but it's a dream of mine. I love a challenge.”

The Bravo reality star said she first fell in love with the show after watching it with her mother every week.

“We love to talk about it. It's our thing,” she said at that time. “I think that a lot of people bond over Housewives, but we bond over Dancing with the Stars. My mother is going to be 92 this December. So seeing me on the show would be her dream come true.”

“We especially love Tyra Banks as the new host!” she added. “It would be awesome to work with her.”

If Luann joins the show, she won't be the first Real Housewife star to compete for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. NeNe Leakes, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Joanna Krupa Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Kim Fields, and Erika Jayne have all appeared on past seasons of DWTS.

RHOAKL star Gilda Kirkpatrick competed in the New Zealand version of DWTS.
