Max Boyens Quits TomTom After Health Insurance Dispute With Lisa Vanderpump!

Max Boyens resigned from TomTom following his firing from Vanderpump Rules last year, his rep confirms to Us Weekly.

Sources revealed that Boyens quit the L.A. hotspot after getting into an argument with Lisa Vanderpump over health insurance.

Max was allegedly “furious” with Lisa and her husband/business partner Ken Todd before a “fight” resulted in his sudden exit.

“They wouldn't give him health insurance or the salary he wanted. Lisa doesn't provide any staffers with healthcare,” a source told The Sun. “After years and years of hard work, he had enough when they still wouldn't even value him enough for health insurance.”

The insider added that “TomTom's opening is delayed because Lisa and Ken are not ready.”

“The owners [Ken and Lisa] are being very cheap with their money,” the source continued. “They either don't have the means or have it and choose not to spend it because the opening has been pushed back and things aren't looking good.”

“The owners give massive anxiety to every staffer. The whole situation is a mess.”

In January 2020, Boyens' past racially insensitive tweets from eight years prior resurfaced on Twitter. At the time, he apologized for using racial slurs on social media in a statement to Us Weekly, “It was wrong on every level. It is not a representation of who I am. I am shocked I ever tweeted that — and I am disgusted and embarrassed. I am truly sorry.”

Five months later, he was fired from the series alongside newbie Brett Caprioni when their racially insensitive and homophobic tweets again resurfaced. The network fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute after their past actions toward former co-star Faith Stowers — who claimed they falsely reported her to the police in 2018 for a crime she did not commit — made headlines in June 2020.
