Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright Confirm They’re Leaving Vanderpump Rules!

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have confirmed they’re leaving Vanderpump Rules. On Friday, Dec. 4, the couple announced that they will no longer appear on the Bravo hit reality series in separate Instagram posts.

“The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,” Taylor wrote while sharing several throwback photos from his time on the show.

“Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors,” he continued. “@bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts. Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you."

“Stay tuned, We can’t wait for to share what we have planned,” he concluded. “Have a great weekend. 💟”

Cartwright shared the same note in her own Instagram post, also sharing several throwback photos, including some snapshots from their wedding, according to PEOPLE.

“The last 5 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Jax and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules.”

She continued, “We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts.”

She added, “Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you. Stay tuned ♥️”

The couple's departure comes after former Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni were fired in June.

Schroeder and Doute were fired for accusing former co-star Faith Stowers of being a woman wanted by the police with Schroeder admitting she called the authorities on Stowers. Schroeder and Doute have both issued public apologies for their past racially insensitive actions towards Stowers.

Boyens and Caprioni were fired after old racist and homophobic tweets resurfaced last winter.

Meanwhile, fans of the series have been asking Bravo to fire Taylor for his past controversial comments including homophobic tweets.

Stowers, who appeared on seasons 4 and 6 of the Bravo hit reality series, called for Taylor to be held accountable for his actions. “I think for sure Jax needs to have somebody take a look into his behavior,” Stowers told PEOPLE at the time.

In a resurfaced tweet from 2017, Taylor falsely claimed that Stowers was “wanted by the police,” after Schroeder and Doute's claims.

Former co-star Billie Lee has also called on Bravo to also cut ties with Taylor, alleging that he “refused to film with me because I was trans and called him out on his white cis privilege.”

Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson also urged Bravo to fire Jax Taylor from Vanderpump Rules for a racist remark he made in the past about her husband, Jay Smith. She wants the network to do the same to Taylor as they did with Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyers, and Brett Caprioni.

“Did y’all see bravo fired four cast members? Well @bravotv don’t leave out old Jax Taylor who harassed us when our show first aired,” Martson wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, June 9. “If you don’t understand why I find this racist please watch my story. Education is key.”

The 90 Day Fiancé star shared a screenshot of a comment that Taylor left on one of her pictures from 2018, where he referenced Smith’s nose, according to a report by Us Weekly.

“Your mans nose is the size of his head…” Jax star wrote at the time.

Martson explained in her Instagram Story how the Bravo reality star’s words were racist.

“When your nose or my nose is referenced as large it’s probably just a large nose,” Martson wrote. “Black people have been historically colored to an ape or monkey, meant to be derogatory.” She continued: “One of the most well known racial stereotypes is referencing a black persons nose, again suggesting it is similar to that of an ape.”

Meanwhile, Jax's former co-star Billie Lee called on Bravo to also cut ties with Taylor, alleging that he “refused to film with me because I was trans and called him out on his white cis privilege.”

“Stop celebrating his disgusting actions,” tweeted Lee, adding the hashtag, “#canceljaxtaylor.”
