Scheana Shay Claims She ‘Begged’ Lisa Vanderpump For Help Over ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Edit!

Scheana Shay claims that she sought Lisa Vanderpump's help to get better Vanderpump Rules edits, but the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star didn’t do anything for the SURver.

Maria Menounos asked Shay on her podcast, “Better Together,” what Vanderpump thought because she “must want to help [her]” after Shay shared her frustrations over how her podcast, Las Vegas show and egg freezing weren’t shown on Season 8 of the Bravo hit reality series.

“I don’t know,” Shay answered. “I mean, I went to her last year and she knew I was really upset with how things were going into last season and the whole scene where they do this stupid montage of ‘I’m not jealous. I’m not jealous. I’m not jealous. I’m not jealous.’ I was crying to Lisa, just like begging her to listen to me.”

Impersonating Vanderpump, Shay continued on the response she allegedly received, “Oh please, stop it. Be professional. Do your job. Stop breaking the fourth wall.”

But Shay revealed why she was still not convinced. “I’m like, ‘Let’s break the fourth wall,” she said, according to Page Six. “Let’s talk about the real issue. I’m jealous that Dayna [Kathan] is on a show that I started with my friends — we all started together — it’s our show along with you Lisa. I’m upset that this new girl is coming on our show and now is getting to showcase her career when she hasn’t worked a day in her life for this. Like literally, it was just handed to her.”

Scheana is referencing a scene during the show's seventh season where new cast member Dayna Kathan met the “Vanderpump Rules” guys at the Mondrian hotel during their staycation, saying, she felt like producers gave her a spot shortly after.

“Oh girl at The Mondrian you’re gonna work at TomTom,” she quipped. “Here you’re on the show. We’re gonna film your comedy show and it was just like, how is that fair to all of us who have worked so hard for eight years? And it’s just like, ‘Nope. Scheana’s the jealous girl over Max the bar manager. Like love you Max, but nah, was definitely not jealous over that.”

The news comes after Vanderpump Rules editor Bri Dellinger appeared on two now-deleted episodes of the “Twisted Plot Podcast” with Evelyn Marley where she revealed that she likes to manipulate scenes to embarrass Scheana Shay. “If Scheana knew what was good for her, she’d befriend me because my favorite game is finding all of the embarrassing things that Scheana does and putting them all in. … [The editors] joke that Scheana’s memoir will be Death By a Million Embarrassments.”

She then admitted that she manipulated a scene between Shay and Schroeder’s teenage brother Nikolai at Schroeder’s engagement party. “It was so funny,” she said. “We were watching the scene and were like, ‘Okay, this is over the top, I realize that, but how can we resist?’ … Yes, I set it to funny music and I added a funny [sound] bite, but she did that.”

Dellinger continued, “We asked her in the interview, ‘How young would you go?’ and we didn’t tell her it was for the Nikolai scene, of course.”

Shortly after Bri confirmed about manipulating scenes to make Shay look bad, she revealed in a now-deleted open letter blog that she was fired from Bravo over allegations she made about Shay.

An insider revealed to Page Six that after the episodes were mysteriously removed from Apple Podcasts that Shay has been upset by the way Season 8 has played out.

“Scheana’s definitely frustrated with how she’s been portrayed,” the insider said. “She’s not the type to pop off when she feels slighted by an unflattering edit. She signed on to be a part of a reality show, which requires her to share her life highs and lows; she just wishes audiences got to see a bit of a more balanced view of her life, not just the most cringe-worthy moments.”

“She’s been assured by the network and production that she’s part of the charade,” the insider added. “She’s going to be absolutely crushed by hearing that she’s actually the butt of the joke.”
