Lauri Peterson’s Son Josh Waring Jail Attacker Charged With Assault!

The inmate who slashed Josh Waring, the son of former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lauri Peterson, during a violent jailhouse fight is facing more time behind bars for the attack on Waring.

According to TMZ, Orange County jail inmate Jose Jesus Guzman is set to be arraigned next month on multiple new charges related to the attack including assault with a deadly weapon, infliction of great bodily injury, possession of a deadly weapon by a prisoner and destroying/concealing evidence.

Josh suffered injuries to his face and chest, getting 20 stitches, TMZ reported. The fight lasted for more than a minute, and moved off-camera, stopping only when guards rushed onto the scene, reports Page Six.

Following the attack, a judge approved to move Waring from Orange County Jail to Santa Ana City Jail. The move happened on Friday, November 22 according to the outlet. Josh will get all the same privileges -- library access, unlimited calls, healthcare, etc. -- the same privileges he had at the OC jail.

Waring’s attorney told TMZ that he was returning to his cell in the protective custody unit of the jail after making a phone call when he was attacked by another inmate. Waring’s lawyer, Joel Garson, said that the attack could be in retaliation against Waring for filing a federal lawsuit against Orange County and its Sheriff’s Department for violating his civil rights while he has been in jail.

Waring has been behind bars since 2016. As previously reported, Waring was charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on two people in Costa Mesa and then leading cops on a wild car chase on June 20, 2016. Waring was eventually captured and charged with three counts of attempted murder and several other felony and misdemeanor charges.

Waring and Peterson insist he’s innocent of the charges. His bail is set for more than $1 million.
