At the Housewife 2 Housewife panel at BravoCon 2019, which featured Darby, Gizelle Bryant, Melissa Gorga, and Emily Simpson - Ashley admitted she almost walked away from the show. When a fan asked Ashley what made her want to continue being on camera after allegations surrounding her family came out, she revealed: “To be honest with you, I almost didn’t — it was very trying,” according to Bravo.
Darby also shared that her son, Dean Darby, played a role in that thought process. "A lot of this is because I do have a baby now and my child can’t decide if he wants to be on the show. So while I’m an adult and I can make the decision for myself, I would feel a little more protective about Dean, exposing Dean to being in that world of negativity that would come, so I almost didn’t," she continued.
“But I was massaged and coerced by my friends,” she said as she gave Gizelle a friendly smirk on stage.
