Shamari DeVoe Addresses Her RHOA Departure; Claims She Was Not “Fired” And Says She “Chose Not To Return Due To Personal Reasons”

Shamari DeVoe is addressing her departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The singer and mother-of-two claims she wasn’t "fired" and reveals that she "chose not to return" to the Bravo hit reality series "due to personal reasons."

After Bravo released the Season 12 trailer of RHOA, a fan asked DeVoe why she was "fired," to which she replied, "I was not 'fired', sweet face," she tweeted. "I chose not to return due to personal reasons."

She added the quote: "The sun sets and rises when it's ready..."

After a fan said that the show won't be the same without her, Shamari tweeted back, "Won't be the same at all... but these ladies STILL won't disappoint," she wrote. "Just a new flavor. Make sure to keep supporting them! #AlwaysAPeach"

Back in April, many reports surfaced on various outlets that the Blaque singer was not returning to the series after only appearing on the show for one season.

Love B. Scott reported that Shamari had lost her peach and that she was demoted to a friend. Meanwhile, Straight from the A claimed that the singer "wasn't surprised" but apparently her husband, Ronnie DeVoe "was not pleased." The site claimed that Ronnie considered Shamari's demotion "an insult to his wife."

Marlo Hampton, who clashed with Shamari last season hinted that DeVoe had lost her peach during a live feed via her Instagram Stories back in April. "Shamari, come on now you’re peachless. You’re really still up here tweeting tonight? Peachless Shamari still tweeting. Hey girl. Stay a fan, just be a fan now. Be sweet. You’re peachless now. They’ll give you a peach and snatch it right back won’t they?," she said.
