Ramona Singer Apologizes For Comments She Made About Bethenny Frankel’s Late Boyfriend Dennis Shields!

Ramona Singer has issued a public apology ahead of Wednesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, in which she makes less-than-ideal comments about Bethenny Frankel’s late ex-boyfriend, Dennis Shields.

“I cringed when I saw what I said about Dennis in tonight’s episode,” she tweeted ahead of the third episode of the current season of the Bravo hit reality series. “It definitely wasn’t one of my finer moments. I respected and liked him very much and I sincerely apologize to his family and Bethenny for my thoughtless comments.”

Singer also took to Instagram Stories to share the same sentiment.

During Wednesdday's night's episode of RHONY, Singer tells Sonja Morgan the following: “How smart can Dennis be? I mean, he was on drugs,” which left Sonja stunned by her co-star's insensitive comment.

As previously reported, Shields was found dead in his room at New York City’s Trump Tower in August 2018. Shields was 51. The cause of death is still under investigation, though TMZ reported that he died of a suspected overdose from prescription drugs.

Frankel first broke her silence on the tragedy in an emotional Instagram post with a photo of Shields and her beloved dog, Cookie, who died last October.

“Rest In Peace my sweet babies who gave me endless unconditional love. #nowandforever,” she captioned the photo.

Earlier this week, Frankel revealed that she was still mourning the passing of her late boyfriend. "Mourning is tricky business. It's like the weather," she explained. "There can be weeks & weeks of sunshine then one day you get whacked with a storm," she wrote.

The Skinnygirl mogul's emotional tweets comes after Billions creator Brian Koppelman dedicated the Sunday episode of the show to his dear friend and "brother," Shields. A title card at the end of the episode read, "In Memory of Dennis Shields."

This was brought to Bethenny's attention on Twitter by a devoted fan, who was touched by the tribute to the late businessman. Bethenny explained the connection to the Showtime program and added, "He really is missed and touched so many people's lives," according to E! News.
