Vicki Gunvalson is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The OG of the OC shares her thoughts on all the drama between Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter.
Vicki writes:
"As I write this week’s blog, I am in Santorini heading to Mykonos on a Seajet celebrating Steve’s 60th birthday. Some of you have been following me on Instagram (@vickigunvalson) and commenting regarding Mike and Dani joining us for a few days. A few weeks ago you saw Mike and I talking about this trip in my office and me wanting to plan to go together. It just so happened that it worked out, and we did overlap two days at the same time, which was so much fun for all of us to be halfway across the world seeing each other in Europe. Dani is celebrating her 30th birthday this week, too, so it was fun having us celebrate together. They have left Greece and are now onto Amsterdam and then to Berlin while we are staying in Greece. If you haven’t been to Santorini and Mykonos, I highly encourage you to put it on your bucket list.
Now onto this week’s episode.
Watching the emotions and the stress that Shannon was going through at this time was hard for me. It brought back memories of when Donn and I were divorcing and the financial and emotional stress it causes on everyone. I’m sure some of you have experienced this and can relate to the emotions that go into play when dividing assets, custody, and belongings that were built together for 17 years. The fact that David was ordered to pay Shannon $30,000/month means that guy is making a lot of money, and absolutely Shannon is entitled to a portion of it. I was surprised to hear that David did not retain an attorney and have to believe by now he has. It’s an expensive process and one that can be very costly and lengthy if settlements do not happen quickly. The attorneys end up taking a huge portion of those assets if the divorce takes a long time. My heart goes out to her and the girls as they go through this.
Did anyone find Kelly’s lunch date with the “milkman” awkward? He looked like he just rolled out of bed and was not the classy man I thought he would have been. She previously spoke so highly of him, but after seeing him on this week’s episode, what does she see in him? I do however, think the “milkman” had some pretty interesting advice when he said Kelly needed to tone her personality down a notch or she would be single for a long time. Kelly is and has been quick to fly off the handle versus calmly handling conflict. Seems to me like they have had some conflict of their own for him to be saying to her what he did. I wish the best for Kelly and just want her to be happy. The transition after being married is difficult, and I don’t want her to just take any guy that comes her way.
I really have no idea what happened after I left Emily’s home the night of the poker party, but I do know that Gina was extremely loud the entire night. I think she was a bit “overserved” and also think she was trying too hard to fit into our group of friends. I don’t know what happened when it came to Shane telling her to lower her voice and stop using profanity, but I have to side with Shane on this one. It had to have been past 11pm and with three small kids sleeping upstairs, I’m sure he felt it was time for her to go home. I also don’t think it’s any of our business to discuss it or comment negatively against Shane, because none of us were there. But…my gut says Shane had every right to be upset.
It was fun for me to film the radio spots with iHeart Radio with my partner Ali. It was so nice to have Steve and Michael there to support me and to assist me with the expansion of Coto Financial. As most of you know, over a year ago I partnered with Ali to open Coto Financial, which is an expansion of Coto Insurance & Financial Services and primarily offers life, health, property, and casualty insurance and retirement income planning. If you are interested in obtaining a free quote on life insurance, please visit our website at http://www.cotoinsurance.com/life-insurance/.
After 29 years in the business, it only made sense for me to expand to be a general agency offering tools and mentorship to other experienced agents on how they too can grow their practice with a full team heading things up in our LA office. If you are a licensed agent anywhere in the United States and are interested in learning more about our company, please email us at info@cotofinancial.com.
On a personal note, Briana, Ryan, and my two grandsons visited us in California before we headed to Greece. It was so nice having them all back in town for five days. And for those of you that have asked, they are really enjoying living in North Carolina. They have a big home on 25 acres, and Briana’s lupus seems to be under control for the time being. She is loving living in the South, and I’m doing my best to visit them every few months. It’s very difficult having them live so far away, but her happiness is the most important thing to me, and she seems very happy and less stressed financially.
I hope all of you are enjoying this season so far. As most of you are finishing up your summer travels and if you have children getting them back to school, I wish you and your family the very best."
