Camille Grammer is making her anticipated return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While she did guest appearances throughout the years on the show since leaving her full-time role at the end of Season 2, the original cast member is returning as an official "Friend of the Housewives" role this year.
Since leaving the show at the end of season two, the mother-of-two hasn't had it easy. "I went through cancer, treatment and surgery and the show is a fantastic platform to raise awareness for the foundation I work with and am a spokesperson for, and to help others that have gone through what I have gone through," she told Daily Star Online.
"It's a fantastic platform because it reaches so many people and so many women – our audience is mainly women – so why not use that platform for good? I enjoy it, also."
Camille opens about her return to the Bravo hit reality series. "I'm very excited to be back. It feels great. I'm not sure if it's the first episode or not, but I come back into the group and it feels great, she told the publication.
"I really enjoy Kyle Richards, she's a friend and I enjoy spending time with her. And Lisa Vanderpump," she shared. "We've been through a lot. We've been through heaven and hell together so you create a bond when you've gone through so much."
"I feel that they're the core of the show from the beginning. They're very strong individuals," she continued. "They have interesting lives, they have interesting storylines. Kyle's a fantastic mom. Lisa Vanderpump, what she's done with her philanthropy work is outstanding," she explains.
"I think the audience, they relate to these women and look up to them as strong women who do a lot and give back," she told Daily Star Online. "Lisa Vanderpump can take the piss out of things. She has a very funny sense of humor – I guess that's the British sense of humor. It's wonderful.
"And her life is very lavish. She brings that aspect to the show, that glamour."
Camille then explains why The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the most glamours of all the Housewives franchise.
"The houses are, they're ostentatious and over the top. There are wealthy people all over the world. Beverly Hills seems to be a little over the top, with the cars and everything," she said. "There's the glitz, the glamour, their lifestyles, but also the core values of all these people. We all have hearts.
"So you see the Hollywood, the sparkle, the zhu-zhu-zhu. But at the core we are people that care about each other and have friendships. It's about all that, the relationships," she explains.
This year, the ladies will be joined by new housewife, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Camille teaes what fans can expect from her in Season 8.
Camille describes Teddi as "fantastic", adding: "I really admire her for coming into a group of women who have known each other for a long time, and all of a sudden she's in the game."
Camille teases that she clashes with one of the other housewives – though she remained tight-lipped on who.
"I'm not immune to arguments this season. I do get into it with one of the other ladies," she told Daily Star Online. "You get a group of women and put them together, they all have strong personalities. Some personalities are gonna clash and that happened to me. We'll see how that turns out."
