Vanderpump Rules Star Jax Taylor Reveals He Is Not Ready For Marriage — Find Out Why!

Seventeen months into his relationship with girlfriend Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor admits he's not popping the question anytime soon. In fact, the Vanderpump Rules star confessed that he doesn't ever see himself tying the knot with anyone. The SURver insisted it has nothing to do with his live-in love, saying, "Brittany's amazing. I'm just not a huge fan of marriage in general."

Marriage doesn't scare Taylor so much as divorce does. "One of those boxes in life that I don't want to check off is 'divorced.' I've done a lot of things in life: gone to jail, gotten in a lot of trouble, done a lot of bad things," Taylor told E! News. "I'd like to keep that box clean."

Will he ever change his mind? "If it happens, it'll be with her, of course," he said of Cartwright. "But you're really going to have to sell me on it because I'm just not a huge fan of divorce. For some reason, that word 'divorce' just freaks me out. I don't know why. It's just me, personally."



"I just can't get divorced," Taylor reiterated. "I just can't."

Taylor is certain about one thing, though: He wants to be a father someday. "I would like one or two [kids]. I just know God's going to give me daughters. That's what's going to happen, just because of [my past with women]. That's going to happen to me," he predicted. "I feel like I'm going to have a shotgun by my side at all times. I can just imagine having a daughter and some guy asking [her] out. I would lose it. I think I would just lose it."
