Former Dublin Wives Star Virginia Macari Set To Debut New Swimwear Collection!

Former Dublin Wives star Virginia Macari reveals she's made Game of Thrones actress Rosie Mac as one of the models to front her new swimwear campaign. “I’m launching my swimwear and beachwear couture label here in Marbella in May,” Virginia tells the Sunday World.

“I’ve been working so hard getting all the pieces ready. Virginia Macari Swimwear and Beachwear Couture is designed to take you from poolside into the evening.”

“My collection has 60 pieces in it and it epitomises the glamour and sophistication of a luxury lifestyle brand. The collection includes beaded sarongs, pretty dresses and chiffon skirts, cute couture shorts and eveningwear.”

“There’s a lot of excitement here in Marbella about the collection. Everyone wants a piece of it.” Georgia Salpa (pictured above) is pictured here wearing one of Virginia’s designs, which go on sale this summer.

Macari shares her excited about wrking with the Games of Throne actress. “I’m delighted I found Rosie Mac,” Virginia says. “She’s Spanish and has starred in music videos for James Blunt and Mika. She’s also in next season’s Games of Thrones.

“She was a stand-in on Game of Thrones for Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen. The producers loved her so much that they’ve written a part for her.”

“The big shoot with Rosie Mac is going to be out of this world. She is about to become an international star. She’s stunning.”

Virginia herself is a big fan of bikinis and has always wanted to bring out her own range.

“I’ve always loved swimwear design and one of my favourite designers is Melissa Odabash. I think she’s amazing how she has revolutionised the swimwear world and made it more exclusive.

The line starts at €180 ($201.54 in US) for a bikini set.

“Many of the pieces are sold separately so you can mix up the collection if you like,” she explains.

“The dresses and tops start from €130 ($145 US) , up to €1,000 ($1,119 in US) for the heavily-beaded chiffon dresses.”

“I’m organising to do the launch in one of the best beach clubs in the world, Ocean Club,” she adds. “It’s going to be a dream seeing the models walking down the catwalk wearing my swimwear there.”

The collection is manufactured in Portugal and Virginia has three girls working with her in her studio.

All swimwear will soon be available in Nikki Beach Boutique and Ocean Club boutique and online on
